Brøndby IF midfielder Noah Nartey has made it clear that he has no plans to represent Ghana at the senior national team level.
The talented youngster, who has Ghanaian roots, confirmed in an interview with Bold.dk that he has been approached about the possibility of representing Ghana but remains focused on his journey with the Danish national team.
“Of course, there is something with Ghana, and there has also been contact. But what I am focused on is playing for Denmark and qualifying for a very great and important European Championship. It's Denmark that I have represented my entire life, and it's them that I will continue to represent,” Nartey said.
Nartey, who has featured for Denmark at various youth levels, has been a standout performer for Brøndby this season. The 20-year-old has so far scored four goals and provided three assists after making 14 appearances in the Danish Superliga.
His recent comments have shut the door on any chance of playing for the Black Stars of Ghana in the future. Meanwhile, his older brother, Nikolas Nartey, has been called up to the Denmark squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Belarus and Scotland.
