Ghana’s Parliament will reconvene on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, to commence the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic, following the Christmas recess that concluded the First Session in December 2025.
Ahead of the reopening, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business has held strategic engagements with Ministers of State to review and align key legislative priorities for the new session. The upcoming session is expected to focus on advancing the government’s policy and legislative agenda, including consideration of pending bills, policy proposals, and oversight responsibilities.
Parliament’s return marks the first major sitting of 2026 and is anticipated to pave the way for extensive debates, committee work, and stakeholder consultations on issues of national importance.
