The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has remained non-committal on the future of the expanded technical team of the Ghana national football team following the dismissal of former head coach Otto Addo.

In recent months, the GFA had significantly boosted the Black Stars’ technical setup, reportedly bringing in close to 18 to 19 coaching staff members as part of efforts to strengthen the team ahead of major assignments.

However, with Otto’s exit, questions have emerged over whether the entire technical team will remain intact under a new head coach. Speaking in an exclusive interview with 3Sports, Okraku suggested that the final decision on the technical team structure is still under review.

“I can’t answer for this moment,” he said when asked whether the technical staff would all retain their positions. “But what I know is that I am leading the charge, engaging all key stakeholders, just to make sure that we have a technical team that will take us to where we desire and where we want to go.”

Okraku’s comments indicate that the future of the current technical staff will likely depend on the profile and preferences of the next head coach, who is expected to lead the team into the FIFA World Cup campaign. The GFA President stressed that discussions are ongoing with key stakeholders to ensure that whatever technical team is put together will align with Ghana’s ambitions on the global stage.

The Black Stars remain a central focus of national football planning, and the federation appears committed to assembling a setup capable of delivering strong performances at the highest level. As the search for a new head coach continues, the composition of the technical team remains one of the key decisions yet to be finalized.
